It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Amalia Elisabeth Mateiu (née Kasza) on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 in Toronto at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Traian Mateiu. Loving mother of Otilia Strateneau and loving mother-in-law to Victor Strateanu of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Karina Strateanu of Cornwall. She is predeceased by her parents; Iosif Kasza and Erna Kasza (née Schuster). Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, On (613-938-3888) on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church followed by interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
