It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Arthur “Art” Kuhn at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at the age of 83 Years. Beloved husband of the late Joan Kuhn (née Adams). Loving father of Cindy Hodl (Dan) of Calgary, AB, Heather Kuhn (Brian Adams) of Alfred, ON and Kevin Kuhn of Canmore, AB. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Lewis (Brennen), Shawn Scott (Megan), Shane Scott, Tyler Locey, Jesse Locey and Jodie Locey and great-grandfather of McKenna and Declan and Finn. Art will be sadly missed by all of the Adams & Kuhn family. He is predeceased by his parents; Harold and Hazel Kuhn (née Cameron), his brothers; Thomas and Leonard Kuhn and by his beloved cats; Allie and Gizmo.
Art was formerly part of The Royal Canadian Airforce Police, the Cornwall Police Department and Domtar Security. He was a member of the SD&G Highlanders Pipe Band. He was very well known for his knitting and needle point skills with many donations of his lap blankets & needlepoint work. He was an avid volunteer with many, donating his time with CAS, St-Vincent de Paul, St Peters, St Columban’s and more. Art was an also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cornwall.
As per Art’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place at St Francis de Sales Church on Friday July 14th at 10am. A gathering will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. As expressions of sympathy in Art’s memory memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
