Casselman, Brent- September28, 1948-April 30, 2022, at the age of 73. It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving and devoted husband and best friend of 52 years to Sandy Casselman (nee Leroux). Adored and dedicated dad and poppa to daughter Kelly McCallum, grandson Coty Casselman and granddaughter Rylee Levac. Often referred to as “Mr. Canadian Tire”, he was a dedicated supporter of the Children’s Treatment Center, Fr. Rudy Foundation, Benson Golf Classic, member of the St. Francis de Sales Parish Council, Finance Council and for a few years be played “Santa” at the Santa Claus Parade. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Much loved brother of Sylvia Richer (John), Bernice Lefebvre (Gerald), Louise Blohon (Karl), Brian Casselman (Nicole), Claire Denis (Bay), uncle to many nieces and nephews and closest and dearest friend to Andy Graham (late Ginette) and Bernie and Lucille Gadbois. Predeceased by his mom Alice Casselman (Martin), his dad Alex Casselman, mother-in-law Esther Leroux (Spencer), father-in-law Wallace Leroux and his stillborn baby boy. Resting at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Tuesday May 10th from 7-9pm and Wednesday May 11th from 9-10:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Parish at 11am. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Children’s Treatment Centre or the Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
