Obituary

CAPTAIN MAXIM ANDRE JOSEPH HEREDIA
March 8, 1946 - January 18, 2021

With deep sadness and a heavy heart we announce the passing of our adored Captain Maxim Heredia who left this world on January 18, 2021 with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Kathleen. Proud and devoted father of Linda (Andrew) and Alberto (Kristen). Cherished grandfather of Carter, Nora, Aaron and Jackson. Loving brother of Patricia, Elsa, Melanie, and Raoul. Dear son of Albert and Evelyn.

Maxim was a man of miraculous strength, courage and devotion. His greatest joy and fulfillment was his family. His infinite wisdom will guide us for generations to come and his love will endure forever. He will always be the Captain of our hearts.

We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care from the ICU staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital.

A celebration of Maxim's life will be held in the spring.

The family welcomes memorial donations in Maxim’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall. Online condolences may be made to www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca

I have no words for how sad I am at Max's passing. Despite his recurrent hardships over the years with his health - his strength, courage and determination and his unfailing spirit and optimism prevailed. His humour, deep love for his beloved family, extended family and many friends, and his commitment to staying in touch are some of his many fine attributes that I will remember. May the memories of the many happy times you all shared together sustain you. With deepest condolences, thoughts, prayers and much love to all of you Kathy, Linda, Alberto and your families. Dear Linda, Kathy and Alberto,

Our deepest condolences.
Max was such a kind, loving and gentle man. I remember when we first met him at MM and he was so welcoming and accepting. So friendly and kind hearted and so very proud of you, Linda, and the boys. He was proud of all of you, I recall him mentioning that he had a son and more grandchildren. He loves you all!
He left such a wonderful and lasting impression on us and we are so grateful to have met and had the opportunity to know him, even if for just a few brief encounters.
We are sending you all of our love and warm hugs today, and always and hope that you find comfort in knowing that he will forever be with you in spirit.

With love,
Diana and Alex
