It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edith McPhail (nee MacIntosh) on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Woodland Villa, Long Sault at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald McPhail. Chosen mother of Daniel and Katherine McPhail. Chosen grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, Edith will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; Donald MacIntosh and Mary MacIntosh (nee O’Keefe). Edith was past president of CWL St. Andrews Parish, Recipient of CWL Diocesan order of Merit, President of Diocesan CWL and life member of the Cornwall Historical Society. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 19th, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s Church on Thursday, January 19th, 2023 at 1 pm. Spring interment will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church Cemetery. If so desired, contributions to the Children’s Treatment Center or the charity of your choice as requested per Edith’s last wishes would be appreciated.
