ASSELIN, Edmond - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edmond (Eddie) Joseph Asselin (aka The Old Crow) WWII Veteran, associate member of the SD&G Highlanders and RCL Branch #297 Cornwall, retired employee of CIL. on Monday September 19, 2022 in Cornwall at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of Eileen (née Hanton) Asselin. Loving father of Suzanne Page (Robert), Dianne Allen (Donald), Patricia (Patty) Lion (Frank) and the late Robert Asselin. Cherished grandfather of Michael Allen, Alyson and Sara Lion. Predeceased by his parents Azarie and Delia (née Vincent) Asselin and 10 siblings Oscar, Emile, John Asselin, Doris Lefebvre (late Lionel), Marie Anne Grondin (Roger), Rose Kaye (Leon), Aurore Dumond (late Oscar)), Simone Watson (late Howard), Amelia St. Denis (late Loranzo) and Beatrice Dube (Ludger). In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
