It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gaetan Gougeon on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 in Ottawa at the age of 61 years. Loving father of Jason Curtis Gougeon, Louise Gougeon, Kayla Gougeon, Terra Stephens (Muhammad Faham) and Jessica Pyke all of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Veronica, Damien, Tyren, Trey, Layla, Grace, Fiona, Seth, Devon, Lily and great-grandfather of two great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Guy Gougeon, Marcel Gougeon, Monique Read (Wayne), Denise Gougeon, Lucille Gougeon and Suzanne Gougeon. He is predeceased by his parents; Remi Gougeon and Simonne Gougeon (nee Clairoux) and by his siblings; Jack, Maurice and Paul Gougeon. Gaetan was an avid member of the Roads Snakes Riders Club and was employed for 35 years at Douglas and Barwick. As per Gaetan’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Gaetan’s life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888).
