It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gisèle Marie-Rose Carrière (nee Yelle) on Sunday July 17, 2022 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife for 52 years of Bernard Carrière. Loving mother of Julie St-André (Patrick) of Cornwall and of André Carrière (Nikki Purdue) of Sugar Grove, Illinois. Cherished grandmother of Gavin St-André, Easton and Kyli Carrière and Cora McGava. Dear sister of Nicole Derochie (Jerry) of Brampton, Maurice Yelle (Claire), Louise Yelle, Rachelle Raymond (Doug), Lucille Fortier and Robert Yelle (Hélène) all of Cornwall. Dear sister-in law of Pierrette Léger (Maurice) of Cornwall. Gisèle will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and by her two grand-puppies Maddie and Ollie. She is predeceased by her parents; Leon Yelle and Liza Yelle (nee Faubert) and by one sister; Suzanne Pagé. As per Gisèle’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Ste-Thérèse de Liseux Church, Cornwall. Rite of Committal to follow at Nativité Cemetery.
