It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Galdys Mesich (née McDonald) in Cornwall on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late John Mesich. Loving mother of Mark Mesich (Christine) of Round Rock, Texas, USA, Greg Mesich (Andrea James) of Keswick, ON and Bradley Mesich (Heather) of Sioux Lookout, ON. Cherished grandmother of Rebbeca (Carlos), Abbey (Josh), Mathias (Sarah), Charlotte, Genevieve, Annabelle, Jotham, Audrey (Griffin), Amelia, Hannah, Maddie, Jack, Olivia, Faye and Hugo and great-grandmother of 5 great-grandchildren with one little one on the way. Dear sister of Grace MacDonald of Cornwall and Archie McDonald (Kate) of Martintown. Dear sister-in-law of Julie McGee (Paul) of Girard, USA and Frank Mesich (Glenn) of Burnaby, BC. She is predeceased by her parents; Archie McDonald and Janet McDonald (née McPhail) and by her siblings; Mary Belle Waterman, Alexander MacDonald, Roderick McDonald and James McDonald. Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from Noon until time of funeral on Friday, May 18th, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 18th, 2023 at 2 p.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment in St. Andrew’s West Cemetery.
