On Monday, December 14, 2020, Gordon Dewar, passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital surrounded by his family. Gord was born in Vankleek Hill on January 31, 1934. He married his beloved wife Nelda Hall on September 15, 1956 and raised one daughter Susan (Dale) Castle who he spoiled rotten. He graduated from Devry College as an Instrumentation Technician and worked his entire career at CIL. He was known to say, 'I loved every day working there.' Cruising was his passion, especially if they had a poker game on board. He won his last tournament at 85 years of age, giving him major bragging rights. He always looked forward to fishing at his daughter's cottage, where he could finally catch that damn largemouth bass that kept slipping off the hook, or so he said. He loved 'dabbling' in real estate and the penny stock markets. He was a firm believer in educating yourself, hard work and the love of his close family.
