It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Iva Mae Mortson (née MacDonald) at the Cornwall Community Hospital on March 17th, 2022 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Mortson. Loving mother of the late Carrie Mortson, Betty Ayotte (Gilles) and Debra Mae Labelle (Jean) both of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Courtenay, Brock (Allison) and Brett (Ashley) Mortson Bush, Christopher (Logan) and Lydia Ayotte, Brandon and Hannah Mae (Andre) Labelle and great-grandmother of Kiegan, Cameron and Bowen. She is predeceased by her parents; Oliver Kenneth MacDonald and Thelma Mae MacDonald (née Robinson), her brothers; Darwin MacDonald, Clinton MacDonald and Kenneth MacDonald, her sisters; Helen Alguire, Muriel Symonds and Betty McDonald. Visitation will take place on at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Friday March 25, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday March 25, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Spring interment in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Donations to the Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
