Obituary for James "Jimmy" MacDonald
James Ronald MacDonald aka Jimmy, the “go to” guy for so many, left this world on August 16, 2022 at the age of 62.
Jimmy will be greatly missed by his father Ronald MacDonald (Diane) of Cornwall, his sisters Joanne Tessier (Bruce), Cheryl Joyal (Stephane), his children Jason Larin (Corrina), Christine Cheryl MacDonald (Connor), Corey MacDonald, many grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. Also missed by his nephew Mike MacDonald (Sherri) and nieces Chelsea Tessier (Taylor) and Keisha Tessier (Jason) and his many cousins.
Jimmy was predeceased by his mother Lucienne Pickup.
So many will feel the loss of Jimmy and his kindness. He was the one so many of us relied upon when we needed something fixed, from brakes on a truck to rebuilding a computer and everything in between. He has his grandfather’s and father’s knack for MacGyvering. Jimmy was also a fisherman, diver and a great cook! His humour and wit will be missed at family gatherings.
He will be reunited with his mom and his loving grandparents, “Granny & Grandpa on the water”.
Family will be in attendance at Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street on Tuesday August 23, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There will be a short prayer service with family and friends at the 7 p.m. visitation.
The interment of his cremated remains will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster, Ontario at a later date.
