It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jean Bissonnette (née Lamarche) on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at the age of 86 years old surrounded by her loving family. Loving daughter of the late Livina Lamarche (Renaud) and Ronaldo Lamarche. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 69 years, Vianney Bissonnette; dear mother to Daniel (Gayle), Ronald (Shirley), and Blair (Jocelyn). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.She will be dearly missed by her sisters Germaine Stang (Roger), Leona McGillis-Kensley (Kenny/Joe), and Helene Quenneville (Gilles). Sister to the late Armand (Cecile), Theresa Whitman-Coddington (Duncan/Maynard), Hector (Agathe), Lionel (Noella), Irene Chellew (Dan), Ronald (Rolly) and Richard (Susie). Jean’s family would like to thank everyone at Riverdale Terrace and the nursing staff at Cornwall Community Hospital. As per Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St., Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 8:30 until the time of the service. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at 10 a.m. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
