GRANT, Jeanette (née Currier) – With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jeanette Marie Grant, in her 89th year, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Cornwall Community Hospital with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Grant. Loving mother of Dwight (Christine), Diana Kemp (Bruce) Cindy Grant (Peter Barby) and Heather Maynard (Michael). Cherished grandmother of Scott (Heather), Grant (Sarah), Kirsten (Weston), Aaron (Kailey), Andrew (Alicia), Julian (Johanna), Jesse (Sarah), Jessica (Timothy), and Kayla (Nigel), and many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Bruno (Claire) and Donald (late MaryAnn). Predeceased by her parents Donald and Bertha (née Leroux) Currier, brothers Wilfred and Alfred (Elizabeth). Jeanette will be sadly missed by her extended family and a great many friends. As a lifelong master gardener, she not only loved her garden, she also loved to sow seeds of kindness to all those she met; knowing that kindness planted today, would bring blooms of joy in the hearts of others.
Due to COVID -19 restrictions, controlled visitation and private family service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Carefor Hospice.

Dear Loving Family of Jeannette's, It is with great regret that I am now just informed of Jeannette's passing. Jeannette was an active and energetic member of our Cornwall Seniorfit Program at the Benson Centre. I think that I can speak on behalf of all of our instructors and members when I say that Jeannette will be sadly missed. She had more energy and enthusiasm than all of us put together. She will be deeply missed by all of us. With sympathy, Marilyn Parisien, owner Cornwall Seniorfit

Jeanette was a long-time member of the Cornwall and District Horticultural Society. She might have been tiny but that didn't stop her from pulling more than her weight when it came to digging for weeds in the club's gardens and shovelling bark and compost for our fundraisers. Such a kind, sweet and wonderful lady. We will miss her tremendously at our meetings and our social events. RIP Jeanette!

We are so sad and shocked to hear of the passing of “our little Jeanette”. She was such an inspiration to us in our Senior Fits Classes and the room lit up when she walked in. Always kind and gentle and determined and very informative with our gardening questions we didn’t have Green Thumbs for sure. Your family has our sympathy. She will be sorely missed by many.
