DION Jeannine (née Lamothe)
1941 - 2021
Jeannine Dion (Lamothe) passed away peacefully at home on February 10, with her family by her side, after battling cancer. She regretfully leaves behind the love of her life, her loving husband of 61 years, Gerry Dion, her three children, Gerry (Jackie) Dion, Lynn (Paul) Lowe, and Luann (Charles) Woodcock, and grandchildren Brendan (Nadia) Lowe, Danielle (Dylan) Lowe, Gerry, Michelyn (Brad), Kelly (Fasih) Khan, and Rachel (Theron) Woodcock. She was GiGi to her loving great-grandchildren Gavrielle, Easton, and Ayman. She also leaves behind a large extended family including many loving siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Throughout her life Jean has served numerous community and charitable organizations, most recently as a long-time volunteer at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, Cornwall. She will also be missed by many cherished friends at her winter home in sunny Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. In light of current pandemic restrictions, a private service will be observed by immediate family, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. C. Leigh and her team of nurses and PSWs at Bayshore, as well as the many family and friends for all the love and support throughout Jean’s journey.
