Hyde: Lloyd Nelson

Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Lloyd Hyde was in his 79th year. Beloved husband of 54 years to Evelyn (Carson) and loving father of Lori (Lance) and Scott (Sara). A wonderful and loving Grampa who will be greatly missed by his cherished grandchildren; Tanner, Brennan (MacKenzie), Cayleb, Savanna, Brooke and Jakob. Survived by his brother Doug (Yvonne) and predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Eileen Hyde. Also predeceased by his brother Victor (Jean). Lloyd shared many special memories with his friends, family and neighbours. Lloyd always enjoyed having the Hyde household as the “home away from home” for four generations of family and friends. Whether it was watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs with his grandsons by his side or hosting summer barbecues by the pool, everyone was treated like family. In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street Cornwall, ON (613) 938-3888 with online condolences at Donations to the Beyond 21 Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our deepest condolences to you, Evelyn, Scott, and Lori. And also to your families.
A lot of good visits were shared with Lloyd along the way, over the years, and the private kinship of family will remain forever in our hearts. Lloyd will not be forgotten. Thank you for the memories, and God willing, may we always keep Lloyds friendship alive in our hearts. Lloyd and I never did make it to the skating rink for an afternoon skate together, but perhaps Scott, you and I can, one day, do that skate together, for your Dad and us.
sent with love and blessings, from Lise and Ross ....
