It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Yates peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Terry Yates. Loving mother of Ian Yates (Lori) of Cornwall and Clive Yates (Karen) of Mobile, Alabama. Cherished Nana to Abigail, Ethan, Joshua (Sarah), Ben, Drew and great-grandmother of Olivia. Predeceased by her parents Roger and Christina Jones of Holywell, Wales. Margret came to Canada from Wales in 1977 with Terry, Clive and Ian. She will be missed dearly by family and friends on both sides of the Atlantic. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at the St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Ingleside in the spring. Date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under that care and direction of the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St. Cornwall (613-938-3888).
