It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred Frances McDonald on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her home at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her parents Cyril and Helena McDonald (nee McPhail), her sisters Carmel McDonald (Walter), Eillen Adams (Percy), Theresa Brewer (Bun), Doreen MacDonald (Rolly), her brothers Bernard McDonald, Arnold McDonald, Angus McDonald (Jean) and Joe McDonald. Mildred will be missed by her sister Inez Leger (nee McDonald), many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Millie was a longtime member of the Long Sault Legion and loved country music. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday April 17th, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 17th, 2023 in St. Andrew’s Church at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy in Mildred’s memory, donations can be made to Long Sault Legion.
