I worked many nights shifts with Nels, he was very proud of his family and and had a dry sense of humor. Thinking of your family a this time . Julia Coe

It’s been many years since our paths crossed though I’ve thought of him often over the years Nels without a doubt had the driest FUNNIEST sense of humour of anyone I’ve ever known Often pearls of wisdom behind the comment That man could make me laugh Smart, funny, kind just a beautiful person who will be greatly missed by anyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path Rest well old friend

Nels was a good friend of Mike and mine and we spoke regularly on the phone. He just called a week ago Sunday and I feel so bad we did not connect again. I know he was not up for a visit during COVID but I wish we could have that one more visit Nels. Our sincere condoleces to Faye and to his children and grandchildren. He was a huge help to me over the loss of another dear friend Mark. We all hung out throughout our high school days. Nels, Liz Brooks and I had a very fun escapade in high school. A wonderful sense a humour, a keen mind, an avid reader, a gentle man. We even had a short-lived date where he took me to "The Battle of the Bands" at the Capital theatre. We will never forget you my friend! Love Sauce and Cindy
