Obituary

CÔTÉ, Nicole – It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Nicole Côté (née Arsenault) at the age of 68, with her daughter by her side on Friday February 12th, 2021. She leaves behind her son Éric (and family), her daughter Anick (Junior, Dimitri, Ashton, Madyson & McKenzy), her grand-daughter Ava, her siblings Angéline, Guy (Ginette), Germain (Marie), and Réal (Lise). Predeceased by her brothers Jean-Marie, and Georges (Diane), and her half-siblings Aldéa, Léovanie, Bertrand, Normande, Gilles, and Gilberte, and her parents Henri and Anne Marie (née Poirier) Arsenault. She will be forever remembered and missed by her Godson, her nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Nicole loved her granddaughter Ava, who was the light of her life. She was inseparable from her sister Angie, who she looked up too. She hardly missed her daily phone call with her daughter. Nicole loved all holidays (especially Christmas) which allowed her to spend extra time with her family. She was always excited about family gatherings that included not only her immediate family, but her brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. These gatherings usually had one of her brothers playing guitar and signing and another brother joining in the singing. These occasions were an excuse for Nicole to sing, dance and especially make others laugh. She loved playing cards, tennis, pools, Hallmark Christmas movies and always looked forward to her yearly week trip to Mandeville, QC with family.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to send a thank you to the staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital and a special thank you to the staff in the ICU for their care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made in Nicole’s name to Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca).

----
