As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. Norma Mac Donell is happy. She was predeceased by her parents Alma and Oscar Monson, her loving husband Bob, daughter Judy Brunette (John) and granddaughter Corrine Brunette. She leaves behind 9 children Sandra (Tom Owen) Ron, Danny (Joceylne), Beth (David Calder), Bobby (Michelle), Bernie(Cheryl), Kathy(Bill Mitchell), Heather(Andre Beaulieu ), Barbara(Lynn Armstrong), 25 Grandchildren, 39 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchdren. Norma is survived by 2 sisters, Joyce and Dolly and predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Originally from Turin Alberta, Norma moved east in 1945 after meeting the love of her life. Their life together started with a wink, and they continued to build a beautiful entity for themselves and their family. Many will share fond memories from MacDonell’s Inn and MacDonell's Garden Center.
For those lucky enough to have known Norma, you share our sorrow in losing a remarkable woman, but when
God took her back he said hallelujah, you're home.
As expressions of sympathy, we ask you to be a donor. Whether it's through blood or organ donation, both were close to Norma's heart. The Children's Treatment Center and hospice were Norma's preferred charities. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Sunday October 30, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be held in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church on Monday October 31, 2022 at 10:00AM. Rite of Committal in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery to follow.
