1935-2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond A. Sabourin on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family in Ottawa at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband for 66 years of Marie Laure Sabourin (nee Sauve). Loving father of Kathy Sabourin, Jo Ann Parisien (André), Richard Sabourin (Elaine) all of Cornwall and of the late Robert Sabourin. Cherished grandfather of Jaime Summers-McAlear (Jason), Mathieu Parisien (Lindsay), Marie-Josée Paglia (Michael), Jennie-Marie Wilkes (Kevin), Lindsay Sabourin (Darren), the late Adam Summers and of step-grandchildren; Sylvie Allaire (Justin), Mathieu Ladouceur (Holly) and Justin Ladouceur (Ashley). Cherished great-grandfather of 12 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Pauline Lepage (late Guy) and Jeanne Lamarche (late Maurice) both of Cornwall. He is predeceased by his parents; Albert Sabourin and Bertha Sabourin (nee Robillard), his brother; Maurice Sabourin (Paulette) and one sister; Rita Sabourin. As per Raymond’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at St-Felix de Valois Church on Monday, December 12th, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 at 11 a.m. in St-Felix de Valois Church followed by interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
