It is with great sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the death of Mr. René Joseph Dicaire on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved husband for 61 years of Corinne Denise Dicaire (née Legault). Loving father of Marc, Luc, Natalie Coulter (John), Jean-François (Jennifer) and Pierre. Proud grandfather of Quincy, Casey, Zoë and Addy. Best friend to dog Chloé. Dear brother of Murielle Séguin (late Roméo) and Armand (Suzanne). Predeceased by his parents Léo and Alice Dicaire (née Lapointe) and his brother Gérard (late Evelyn).
René was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He doted on his family and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He started his career with the St-Lawrence Seaway Authority before retiring from Great Lakes Pilotage Authority, after 35 years with the federal government and was a former president of the Kiwanis Club of Cornwall.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Paroisse Saint-Félix-de-Valois, 620 Glengarry Boulevard, Cornwall, on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 am.
