Peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Linda Lauzon (nee Gilmore). Dear beloved father of Colin Lauzon (Anna-Lyn) of Carleton Place, Joe-Anna (Paul) Fortier of Strathroy, and Melanie (Jason) Wolfe of Phoenix, Arizona. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Theophile, Rita (Guy) Roy, Norma (Norm) Daigle, Verna (Russell) Coleman, and Anita (late Fernand) Savage. Predeceased by his two sons George, Rene Jr., his wife Doreen (nee Taillon) and his two grandsons Wyatt Wolfe and Robert McKenzie. Dear son of the late Louis Joseph and the late Anna (née Pilon) Lauzon. Also, predeceased by his four brothers Hubert, Lawrence, George, Francis and his three sisters Doria, Rona (the late Fernand) Maynard, Leoza (the late Leo) Fillion.
Rene will be greatly missed by his nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as many friends. The family will be in attendance at the Wilson Funeral Home, Boulerice Center 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall on Thursday April 21, from 2 pm - 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. And Friday April 22, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 434 Second Street West, Cornwall on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2 PM.
