It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Major on Monday, April 17, 2023 of natural causes at the Hawkesbury Hospital at the age of 88 years. Born on March 31, 1935 to Fabien and Loretta Major (nee Tyo). Beloved husband of the late Martha Major (nee Custodio). Loving father of Ronald Major Jr. (Anne Marie Foré) of Orléans, Diana Major (Chris Emond) of L’Orignal and the late Rachelle Major. Proud grandfather of Kyle, Maya, Nadya, Mariya, Molly, and one more due in August. Dear brother of Darcy, Morgan and Marlene Roy (Jack). Predeceased by brothers Alton, Vincent, Alexander, Orlin, and sisters Velma, Theresa and Elvera. Cremation has taken place. In respect of Ronald’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. A Graveside Committal will be held at St. Columban’s Cemetery in Cornwall on Tuesday May 23rd at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy in Ronald’s memory, donations can be made to Ride For Dad.
