Obituary for Rosemary Lugg

LUGG, Rosemary
1929 – 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Florence (née Hilton) Lugg on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus at the age of 91 years. Rosemary was a professional seamstress and also completed many beautiful quilting, smocking, knitting and crocheting projects. Wife of 67 years to the late Albert Lugg. Loving mother of Wayne (Susan), Brian (Kathy), Judy Lugg and Shelley Lugg (Harold). Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Audrey (née Maillou) Hilton, and brother Ronald Hilton (Betty). Dear sister of Douglas Hilton (Norma), Gordon Hilton (Viola) and Maureen Gronberg (Arne). Cherished grandmother of Cameron (Jen), Meghann (Ken), Laura (Ian), Bonnie (Amy) and great-grandmother of Hailey, Charlie, Zach and Katie-Beth. Rosemary will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and all who knew her. In keeping with her wishes and in light of COVID-19, a private service will be held at Knox-St. Paul’s United Church in Cornwall. Later in the year a memorial service and the interment of their ashes will be held for both Rosemary and Albert at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa. If so desired, Memorial Donations to Knox-St. Paul’s United Church in Cornwall or to Bridlewood Trails Retirement Community, Staff appreciation Fund, in Kanata would be appreciated by the family.
