It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Podsiad (nee Villeneuve) on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of the late John Podsiad. Loving mother Natasha Podsiad (Andre Morin) of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Dominic Morin (Godson), Julie Morin (Adam) and Denis Morin and great-grandmother of Zackary, Lily, Terrance and Lila. Dear sister of Rita Villeneuve and Alec Villeneuve (Linda) both of Cornwall. Dear aunt of Michael Pilgrim, Jeffrey Pilgrim, Brenda Bray and Sue Collis. Sandra will be sadly missed by great-nieces, great nephews and all relatives and friends who knew her. She is predeceased by her parents; Oscar Villeneuve and Yvette Villeneuve (nee Mayotte) and by her brother Goerges Villeneuve and her sister Louise Pilgrim. As per Sandra’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place on February 4th, 2023 at St-Felix de Valois Church at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
