It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ted Kruszel on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at the age of 89. Born in Sapova, Ukraine on July 11th, 1933 to Michael and Julia (Holyda) Kruszelnycki. Ted is survived by his devoted wife of over 55 years Sandra Kruszel (nee Elwell); his loving children Karen Kruszel of White Rock, BC, Alan Kruszel (Lorraine Régnier) of Newington, ON and Daria Kruszel (Yanick Turcotte) of Rigaud, QC; his caring grandchildren Kyla, Ashley, Matthew, Samuel, Sophie, Stéphanie, Noah, and Ethan and his affectionate great grandchildren Lena, Audrey, Taylor and Evie. Ted will be greatly missed by his sisters Ann Kruszelnycki and Marion Willis (Bev) as well as his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ted grew up in and was a long time resident of Lachine, QC where he made many friends. Later in life he and Sandra moved to Williamstown, ON to enjoy life in a small quaint village. As per Ted’s wishes cremation has already occurred and there will be no visitation. A spring interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, Cornwall, ON. As expressions of sympathy in Ted's memory, donations can be made to the Farmers Ukrainian Solidarity Fund of the BCU Foundation.
