Passed away unexpectedly at home in Cornwall on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at the age of 72 years. Loving wife for 50 years of Michael McAnany. Loving mother of Andrew (Sara), Paul (Steve), Sarah (Ron), and Erin (Eric). Cherished grandmother of Mary and Jane McAnany and Finn Somerville. Dear sister of Rose (Ian), Bernice (Lyall), Mary Frances, Loretta, Joan (Glen), Pauline (Darryl), Bernard (Barb), Gerard (Suzanne), Patrick (Annette), Michael (Kelly) and Thomas (Natasha). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; Alphonsus McKenna and Mary McKenna (nee Finn). Theresa was an avid curler both in Gander Newfoundland and Cornwall. She also worked for over twenty years as an Educational Assistant in the UCDSB. Resting at Wilson’s Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Wednesday, February 8th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church on Thursday, February 9th, at 11 a.m. Private interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name to the Upper Canada Champions for Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
