It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Verna Parker (née McLaughlin) in Cornwall on May 4th, 2023 at the age of 59 years. Beloved wife of Roderic Parker. Loving mother of Jamie Filion (Terri-Lynn) of Kingston and Aaron Filion of Cornwall. Dear Step-mother of Shauna Campeau (Ryan Cassie) of Cornwall and Patric Parker (Crystal Louis) of St. Raphael’s. Cherished grandmother of Kaylie, Scottlynn, Katrina, Dylan, Logan, Mila, Makenna, Ethan and Alia. Dear sister of Ronald (Charyl Adams), Sheila (Robert Wheeler) and Jean (Daniel Joyal). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and the Parker family. She is predeceased by her parents; Robert McLaughlin and Florence McLaughlin (née MacDonell), her two brothers; Alan and Brian (Nicole Langlois) and by one sister; Maureen (Andy Martel). As per Verna’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Ingleside. If desired donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
